Keffi Area Commander of National Drug Law Enforcement Agency(NDLEA)have called on the people of Nasarawa state  especially government at all levels as a matter of urgency to support their Keffi branch of NDLEA with operational vehicles and other logistics to enable them carry out their duties effectively.

Making this clarion call in her office, the Assistant commander of narcotics

ACN,Regina Agbo ILifu the area commander Keffi area command said the call for vehicles for their logistical operations became imperative for government at all levels, individuals to support their functionality due to their war on curbing drug intake and abuse especially amongst the youth.

She informed that the only Hilux van available for use is shared and rotated between kokona,Akwanga and Nasarawa fields command ,this trend retards their proactive activities and operations towards combating drug dealers.

“Also our operational office in keffi is not fenced, it is porous and vulnerable to attack,if the operational vehicles are provided we will do better and our activities will be better off”.

ACN,Regina Agbo iLifu explained that the mandate of NDLEA is entailed on the suppression of illicit trade on drug supply, drug supply reduction hence the mandate empowers them to destroy Marijuana, cannabis farms

 She said that keffi which is known as a transit point of drug dealers spurred the NDLEA keffi command to work 24hoursn daily,so far She maintained that this feat yielded fruits as in the past two months they were able to arrest and impound a truck load of cannabis weighing 4000 kilogram about 370 bags of cannabis was impounded.

Furthermore within this period of their operations within Angwan lambu axis 10 bags of cannabis was recovered while the owner ran away.

So far the drug culprit have faced the law and they have been prosecuted.
