President of Nasarawa State University Alumni Association Barrister Nuhu Egya said his alma mater is rated globally as a 21st century University, why because the University in ranking at this year 2025 is the third (3rd) leading in Nigeria, 8 leading University in Africa and 32 leading University in the world.
Making this assertion during the Post graduate students week on Saturday at the University campus with the theme: Equipping Postgraduate Students with the Skills and Knowledge needed to thrive in a Dynamic Academic and Professional Landscape applauded the Postgraduate students of NSUK who through their learning of entrepreneurial skills has acquired the ability to produce things locally through innovations most of them are now self employed, employers of labour thereby impacting on the overall development of Nigeria he stated.
Barrister Nuhu Egya who is also Chairman of Citizen Committee Abuja called on all the Post graduate Students of the University to avail the opportunities provided by the management of the University, led by the Vice Chancellor Professor Sa’adatu Hassan Liman to develop their entrepreneurial skills through the institute of good governance and other institute provided by the University, and ensure on their fuller presence of the posa to make it stronger.
Meanwhile, the host and the President of Postgraduate Students Association Dr. Abimiku Monday Sunday (Ph.d) urge the entire Post graduate Students of Nsuk to be vibrant in the activities of Posa.
He lauded the Chief Host Professor Sa’adatu Hassan Liman Vice Chancellor and the Co-host Prof. A.A.Sulaiman Dean School of Postgraduate Studies for giving them the enabling environment to thrive. High point of the event was the launching of Posa Magazine and the foundation laying ceremony of the Posa Convenience. Keynote address was delivered by Prof. M.S. Haruna.
